What is the difference between Miniature Pinscher, Chihuahua, Papillion and the Russian Toy?
Doesn't matter how much you can read or hear about Russian Toys you still won't feel the difference between these dogs and other breeds. We also tried to throw straws against the wind for a long time until decided that the most convincing argument of the difference between these four breeds could be pictures.

Let us go to their bodies. It is widely known that Pinschers have short hair only. They don't have long hair on their ears or paws. By the way, if not for the person behind this dog, who would say this dog is only 13-14 inch. at the withers?

If you look at Breed History of this breed, you will find the description of its development. They are related to English Toy-Terriers. And the English Toy-Terrier is the one from whom Russian Toy got the "Terrier" word in one of its previous names - Russkiy Toy-Terrier.
The English Toy-Terrier as a breed at this time has almost died out. If you ever decide to own one of them, it will be a heroic deed to find the puppy.
